FOSTER + PARTNERS CHOOSES ARCLINEA FOR THE WHITELEY LONDON

Working in collaboration with Finchatton on the masterplan, British architecture firm Foster + Partners has been contracted to undertake a comprehensive regeneration of The Whiteley London. Arclinea’s Convivium has been specified for the six-storey building’s 139 kitchens with custom Backstage wardrobes by B&B Italia for the bedrooms.
Originally built in 1911, this distinguished Art Deco wonder is at the heart of London’s rich architectural landscape, featuring an iconic ornate façade and remarkable glass-roofed central atrium. Located in the heart of Queensway, just a stone’s throw from Hyde Park, London’s first department store has undergone significant re imaginings, whilst paying homage to its historical and cultural significance.

The Whiteley is being bought to life by developments manager Finchatton, with joint venture investment partners London is a joint-venture development between MARK and C C Land, offering a rare opportunity to live in an iconic London landmark. Within each of the building’s units, the site’s profound heritage meets Arclinea’s contemporary design vision, with Convivium kitchens featuring bronze PVD with doors in fossil oak wood veneer finish and worktops and splashbacks in marble.
