ARCLINEA SHANGHAI @CIMEN: A FAR HORIZON FOR THE DESIGN KITCHEN
SHOWROOM, 01.10.24
Within Shanghai’s exclusive Cimen complex — home to some of the world’s most significant international interiors and design brands — a new Arclinea monobrand showroom extends across a single floor, where a selection of iconic Antonio Citterio-designed models are showcased throughout the space.
Upon entering the showroom, visitors are greeted by a Convivium composition comprising a functional island and integrated table, and demonstrating a refined fusion of signature materials and deep shades. The NTF black ash of the large Era System table complements the Noir Saint Laurent marble of the countertop alongside the black PVD of the Convivium doors and hood. It is continued onto the floor-to-ceiling wall storage that discreetly houses essential appliances and additional storage solutions.
Beyond the wall, a dramatic double-island Thea composition is a stand-out feature of the showroom, communicating a handleless edition of the design and one of the most versatile designs of the complete Arclinea Collection. Thea’s minimalism is elevated by the Sughero quartz of the countertops and sides, and contrasting with the bronze PVD steel shelf.
Next is a space dedicated to Italia, Arclinea’s most renowned kitchen, inspired by the worlds of professional dining and food preparation. The configuration features a central island produced entirely in Vintage stainless steel, with an Era snack counter in fossil oak NTF, and columns in nocciola Fenix NTM®. Designed to evoke moments of generous hospitality, the composition is complete with Vina elements from the Arclinea Duet Collection — ideal for the storage of fine bottles.
The journey through the showcase concludes with a wall-mounted configuration of Beta, characterised by an integrated horizontal handle that runs the full length of the doors. The bianco Fenix NTM® of the door offers gentle contrast to the grey tones of the Carrara marble of the countertop and backsplash, while the stainless steel hood runs parallel to the surface, creating a modern, graphic line that cuts through the tradition of this beautiful material and complements the glass cabinets that lighten the upper section of the display.
Throughout the showroom, large backlit images depict everyday objects with poetic composition, forming an evocative backdrop for each kitchen and cultivating a visually harmonious atmosphere.
