ARCHETYPES OF FORM: A READING OF SPACE

SHOWROOM, 23.04.26

Within the Via Durini showroom, Arclinea presents iconic models alongside new solutions in an exhibition that explores the kitchen as a contemporary archetype. Forms, materials and advanced design solutions compose a unified narrative in which function and representation coexist. The compositions unfold as distinct yet coherent episodes, interpreting evolving ways of inhabiting domestic space on the occasion of Milan Design Week 2026.

KORA, FOLIA TABLE
In the large skylit space, Kora, Arclinea’s latest model designed by Antonio Citterio, introduces a sculptural vision of the kitchen. The island, defined by soft, edgeless forms, establishes a fluid presence within the space. Two contrasting interpretations coexist, bringing glossy and matte surfaces, marble and steel into dialogue. The first configuration, in matte Versylis marble, is paired with the Folia table in graphite oak; the second, in brill stainless steel, is combined with the Folia table in matte marble. Jens stools complete both compositions. In the background, the eucalyptus wall integrates the washing area and Folding systems. The result is a sophisticated and dynamic domestic landscape that articulates Arclinea’s identity.

KORA, TECA COLLECTION
Within the open space defined by a colonnade, Kora highlights Rapolano travertine marble, used for doors and tapered-edge worktops. The material presence of the stone is balanced by the Era snack bar in tobacco oak, introducing a warmer, more domestic note. The walls juxtapose stainless steel doors with a central Teca unit featuring Modus modules in tobacco oak, creating a dialogue between technical and natural surfaces. The result is an articulated space in which function and material integrate with coherence and elegance.

CONVIVIUM WITH LAPIS
A significant area within the showroom is dedicated to Convivium, an iconic model within the collection, seamlessly extended by the Lapis table: an element that expands the island’s function towards a more open and convivial dimension. Doors in brill bronze PVD interact with the boiserie and tapered shelves in smoked oak, forming a cohesive whole. Lapis becomes an informal point of gathering, in dialogue with the dining area, furnished by Maxalto. The project establishes a flowing narrative between preparation and sharing, dissolving any functional separation.

"PROXIMA, TECA
In the window display, Proxima integrates with the Teca wine storage unit, defining an environment in which technology and ritual coexist. The working wall accommodates the washing area with Proxima doors and the Folding system, while the island, a functional focal point in a PVD Plus brass finish, introduces a warm, reflective presence, emphasised by the PVD Plus black handle. Balancing technical precision and material quality, Teca becomes both a narrative and functional element, where every detail contributes to an advanced user experience.

KORA
In the adjacent window, Kora is presented in a configuration where steel interacts with a marble worktop. The equipped boiserie, with tapered-profile shelves, supports vertical development with visual and functional continuity. The composition expresses a balance between formal lightness and construction precision.

THEA
Upon entering the showroom, Thea introduces a renewed material language in which travertine marble meets graphite-finish wood. Doors and accessories define a coherent and sophisticated aesthetic, while the Canto snack bar in PVD Plus black underscores the precision of the design gesture. Jens stools discreetly complete the composition, establishing a balance between natural surfaces and technological craftsmanship.

THEA WITH MARBLE DOORS, ORBITA TABLE
In the following configuration, Thea is expressed through marble doors that emphasise the monolithic quality of the composition. The Orbita table in graphite oak introduces a fully integrated element, engaging in dialogue with the island. Jens stools in the same material reinforce the overall coherence. The combination of stone surfaces and dark wood creates an intimate environment in which solidity and warmth coexist within an essential language.

PROXIMA, BUTCHER
Continuing through the showroom, Proxima is presented in a configuration paired with the Butcher table, bringing preparation back to the forefront as a fundamental gesture. The light oak worktop becomes a dedicated operational surface, enriched by handles designed to hold and organise everyday tools. Fossil oak doors, combined with a steel handle, define an essential and functional language. The result is an authentic and dynamic environment, shaped for everyday us
