An extensive linear kitchen work base runs like a ribbon along the walls of a bright space, where wall units and open ones are opposite to storage floor-to-ceiling wall units and a glass display. A huge snack bar island in the middle of the room completes the layout featuring a brand-new interpretation of Thea, the “handle free” model designed by Antonio Citterio in 2021, among the most versatile of the entire Arclinea collection. Thanks to its stylistic essentiality, Thea’s project characterized by the horizontal profile for the opening of the units is suitable to the configuration of countless versions, due to the assortment of finishes and materials.
THEA, STAVES DOOR
The most distinctive choice is the doors, which feature an original staves motif. Textured, three-dimensional surfaces, which in the succession of vertical lines create an effect of contrasted light and shadow able to livening up the space and that to the touch evoke naturalness, craftsmanship, quality resulting from very expert hands. The staves integrate in their design the separation lines between the doors, making uniform the surface here showed in the NTF fossil oak finish, which is well matched to the matt Mercury quartz worktop by Quartzforms® and the new Gola profile in brushed bronze aluminum; instead, the internal of the Canto snack bar is characterized by bronze PVD steel, lending a result of great elegance and visual harmony.
The design of the wooden staves enables seamless integration between doors, resulting in a uniform surface.
Its three-sided layout highlights spaces and equipment: central cooking area with induction hob and integrated hood, double sink to the sides, oven embedded in the island, and appliances arranged in order to rationalize the operating flows. A glass display unit featuring double doors with brushed bronze frames and Stopsol glass, NTF fossil oak interiors and graphite aluminum shelves, creates a lighting break in the big and capable floor-to-ceiling wall of units.
Thanks to the particular processing of the edges, the open wall units in NTF fossil oak are harmoniously combined with the doors in white efeso Fenix NTM® of the wall units. The matt Mercury quartz back panel, with stainless steel bar/profile, complete with sliding accessories in NTF fossil oak, while the drawers are equipped with internal Moka Box organizer system. Worktops are always perfectly illuminated too, thanks to the 3000K LED lighting, built-in under the wall units.
Everything in this kitchen seems to be about style and maximum functionality. It’s a fully equipped workplace that is also a livable space filled with enjoyable light and warmth.
The Arclinea dining table and Panca bench, showed here in their “in niche” version, appear as the natural completion of Thea linear aesthetics. All the elements seem to speak in the same language, respecting stylistic canons, in harmony with materials and colors. The kitchen and the dining area become a seamless unicum, where the workstations elegantly dialogue/interact with the furnishings dedicated to conviviality, while being well distinguished in the organization of the space and in their use function.
