How has growing up and living in Hong Kong influenced and inspired your designs?
I was born, raised, educated, working, and living in Hong Kong all my life. In this vibrant city, where East and West seamlessly intersect, the mix of Chinese and Western culture has actually influenced my design a lot. Here, you will always find tradition reinterpreted in a modern design language.
Milan: is there a specific quality the city holds that you particularly value? Milan is just like a good old friend of mine. It’s where I’ve made many friends and developed a very deep bond with the city. What I really love about Milan is how it blends history with modern vitality. It’s a city steeped in rich Renaissance heritage but alongside that it’s also stylish and contemporary.

Are there aspects of Italian design that you incorporate into your projects?
In my experiences working closely with different Italian designers and brands, it’s really hard to pinpoint a single aspect of Italian design. It is so much more than just a particular style or look. It's deeply rooted in their passion and ethos. The Italians pursue perfection in every aspect – whether it's about beauty, quality, proportion, craftsmanship, innovation, or even the smallest details. This relentless pursuit is what truly makes Italian design Italian. And I always try to infuse that same energy and passion into my own designs and projects, drawing inspiration from the Italian dedication to excellence.
What about Arclinea kitchens most appeals to you? What values do they bring to project?
For a long time, I’ve been captivated by Antonio Citterio’s designs, be it furniture or products, architecture or interior. Arclinea, specially crafted by Antonio, holds a special place in my admiration. I look for perfection, simplicity, and practicality in my design, and Arclinea with Antonio Citterio deliver exactly what I am looking for. Arclinea designs embody simplicity and that ‘just right’ feeling. Every single aspect is carefully thought out over time, from proportions to closures, to mix-and-match possibilities.
What phases define a contract project? Do you typically interact with the Arclinea Contract Division?
Whenever we start to design a project, we aim to go beyond designing just a home; we are actually crafting an entire lifestyle. Before diving into the actual design phase, I always emphasise a rational analysis process. The design should resonate with practicality, flexibility, aesthetic appeal, cost effectiveness and a vision of the way of living. We have a lot of experience working with the Arclinea contract team, they are definitely a trusted partner, always enriching our collaborative journey with their professional expertise and dedication.
